Models get Picasso face and monobrows at Paris

Winged eyeliner? Blood-red lips? Nothing so conformist for rising French fashion star Jacquemus, who sent his models down the runway with Picasso-esque heads scrawled on the sides of their own faces at the start of Paris Fashion Week.

By far the most avant garde beauty look of the season - and the one we're most looking forward to seeing recreated in a YouTube tutorial - the mini make-up masterpieces incorporated the models' own eyes into the look, giving the illusion of blinking portraits.

It's the second time make-up artists have pulled out their art brushes and pigment in place of blusher and highlighter - face tattoos were the youthful addition at Giamba last week - though they seem positively sedate in light of Jacquemus' abstract beauty displays.
