The cream that does a laser’s work

The latest super cream to hit beauty counters has been 20 years in the making – and it’s promising some very big things for your skin.

Clinique’s new Repairwear Laser Focus is a potent serum that targets wrinkles and sun damage, two of the most prominent sighs of ageing that, increasingly, dermatologists are treating with lasers to get the best results. But with its hefty price tag and considerable down-time, not everyone is ready to commit to a course of high-tech zapping, especially not when there’s a cream that’s claiming to be nearly as good. Packed full of ingredients that are well-known to lighten pigmentation and protect cell structure, RW Laser Focus was shown in trials to be 63% as effective as having a professional laser treatment. As with all creams, the real proof of the pudding is in the regular, twice-daily application, but at £35 and with plenty of good-quality actives, including vitamins C and E, this one’s definitely on our list to try.
